Le héros Shoegaze moderne Wisp a officiellement un nouvel album sur le chemin: aujourd'hui (24 juin), a annoncé Wisp Sinon l'hiver. Ce ne sera certainement pas l'hiver lorsque le projet tombe le 1er août. Disponible est maintenant un nouveau single, le «Save Me Now», les deux-lourds et légers.
Un communiqué de presse note que l'album «représente une réalisation complète d'une vision d'explosion des frontières pour Shoegaze», et qu'il «trouve Wisp synthétisant des univers soniques disparates en une esthétique singulière et évocatrice». On dit également qu'il incorpore «la sophistication mélodique des auteurs-compositeurs les plus polyvalents de la pop, la poésie narrative de Folk et les idéaux communs de la hiérarchie de hardcore».
Dans un Presse alternative interview earlier this year, Wisp said of working on the project, “It's definitely a very hard challenge going from writing singles to making a cohesive album just because the songs have to make sense together, and I want my album to tell a story. (…) I'm sticking to the ethereal, fairy tale-esque stuff (that) circulates around Greek mythology, the mermaids and the angels, and I really want to incorporate more mystical creatures into my music, which will be Amusant à expérimenter.
